How can I start to get into anime / manga?
The biggest connection I have wit any asian culture is that I like chinese take out and I LOVE SUSHI!!!!! I just recently started packing my own bentos. =]. So, now I want to take another step into the culture and get into anime / manga. I haven’t played video games in 6years and I know absolutely nothing about anime. Please help.
Read it. Watch it. That’s really all you have to do.
Some ones that I like are:
Bleach (anime and manga, but skip the anime bount arc)
Full Metal Alchemest
DN Angel
Fruits Basket
Generator Gawl
Most Studio Ghibli movies
Gundam Wing
Trigun
There’s also Death Note, which is popular, there’s manga, anime and some live action movies of it. Oh, and Cowboy BeBop.
There’s also a lot of places online where you can download english subbed versions of the anime in Japanese (which is usually better) for free. A good thing to do is to look for anime and manga that incorperates things that you like. If you like lots of battles, watch Bleach or Naruto. If you like love stories watch DN Angel, if you like both, Full Metal Alchemist.
