Any recommendations for fun things to do/nightlife for a young couple in Scottsdale, AZ?
We love art, wine tasting, sushi/seafood, etc…and are open to any/all suggestions! We are relocating from NYC to Scottsdale. Thanks!
Ra in old town Scottsdale is a good sushi restaurant, and there a few interesting cultural-type activities, including the Scottsdale art walk and various wine tasting activities, but in general I’m afraid you’re going to notice a bit of a cultural downsizing from NYC. A nice way to spend the evening is on the patio bar at the Phoenician by the fire pits: you get a very nice view of the valley, and the sunsets are amazing. Also, the Phoenix zoo has a lot of interesting member activities, as does the Symphony. For a more Greenwich Village feel, I recommend the First Friday art walk on Grand Avenue, first Friday evening of every month, or Mill Avenue in Tempe (Rula Bula is a fantastic Irish Pub on Mill, and they frequently have Irish bands).
