Is sushi white rice bad for the diet?
Hi I weigh 77kg for 1m72 and I am trying desperately to lose 5kg on a 1200-1500 diet, 5 meals a day, fewer carbs, upping proteins, very little to no fats. 40 mins running/speed walking intervals 3 times a week and 1 hour speed walks on other days, some weights training. The process is agonisingly slow-like 500g every two weeks only, I’m also on Xenical but I may give it up as it’s not doing anything. So my question is I really like sushi and may sometimes eat sushi on one of the 250 calorie mini meals but I’m wondering if it’s actually fattening in my case because of the processed carbs-the white rice? I also eat the ginger they serve with it-that’s probably loaded in sugars too. Should I give up sushi and try to eat just sashimi (I find it hard to stomach the pure Raw Fish)
White rice is awful if you’re on a diet. It raises your blood sugar levels and leads to excess fat around the mid section. Also, uncooked fish is harder to digest than cooked fish, which also means you’re making it easier to give yourself a belly. Cmon, go run and eat lean meats and veggies.
