Sashimi Ahi

sashimi ahi
How long is Sashimi Safe to eat?

my friend and I made sushi/sashimi on Monday with ahi and salmon. It has been covered and in the fridge, but I don’t know how long it is fresh for.

Raw meat when eaten raw should be consumed immediately (although many professionals do not recommend it at all) at Christmas we eat ground round and try and consume it within 24 hours 48 at the most its really pushing it, we put small amounts on ice and keep the rest in the fridge we cook the leftovers, if raw meat will be cooked it should be kept in the refrigerator 2-3 days unless its packaged and the package indicates otherwise.

Leftovers (non raw foods) or homemade foods should be consumed within 2-3 days. An exception being deli foods with stamped dates- follow the expiration date. And of course freezing and special air tight do it yourself at home packaging with a vacuum seal machine (follow the manufacturers instruction for how long it can be stored.)
