* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Directions
1. Mix oil, chocolate, and granulated sugar.
2. Blend in one egg at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla.
3. Stir flour, baking powder and salt into oil mixture.
4. Chill several hours or overnight.
5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
6. Drop by teaspoonfuls into confectioners’ sugar.
7. Roll in sugar; shape into balls and place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes (do not overbake). NOTE: If you use self-rising flour, omit the baking powder and salt.
thanks
For recipes calling for 1 ounce of bittersweet chocolate you substitute 2/3 ounce of unsweetened chocolate + 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar, so just use an ounce of bittersweet chocolate and remove 1 tablespoon of the granulated sugar. Hardly seems worth the trouble… just use the bittersweet and don’t worry about it, like another answerer suggested
