Best vegetarian maki-sushi fillings?
No fish or any type of meat, just good vegetarian style maki-sushi filling suggestions.
My favourite is avocado. The texture is just perfect. Cucumber is also very nice. You can actually do cucumber and cream cheese to make it more interesting. Tofu marinated in tamari with sesame seeds is also good.
You can also make an omelette and put a small roll of omelette with a slice of raw red pepper dashed in lemon juice. This looks really good and tastes great too. I have actually just thought… you could try putting a little wasabi in the egg mix when making the omelette. I wonder if that would be good. It sounds good. Wasabi omelette and red pepper….
Hope these help!
